As a business attorney, John represents clients in a variety of corporate, commercial, and employment matters, including the formation of business entities, the preparation of shareholder, limited liability company, partnership and employment agreements, and the purchase, sale, merger and acquisition of businesses. He also represents clients in the purchase and sale of commercial real estate, leasing, and commercial mortgage lending. As an estate attorney, John counsels individuals and families in matters of wealth transfer, gifting and philanthropy, and business succession planning. He advises and assists personal representatives in carrying out their duties in matters of probate and trust administration and guardianship. As a litigator, John has experience at the trial level in the U.S. District Court and New Jersey Superior Court. His litigation practice is focused primarily on business, commercial, and estate matters, such as breach of contract, business torts and business owner disputes, estate and fiduciary disputes, guardianship, as well as employment, real estate, and municipal matters. Prior to opening his own office, John was a litigation associate at regional firms where he handled a variety of insurance defense, public entity, and discrimination cases. Prior to entering the practice of law, John earned an M.B.A. in Management and worked in the securities and insurance industries. He was a registered representative (N.A.S.D. Series 7, 6, and 63) with Merrill Lynch & Co. where he focused on corporate investment plans and has several years’ claims management experience with major property/casualty insurance carriers.
